What System Requirements do I require to run SCars?
SCars is a lightweight utility that will not burden your system. Typically, it will not use any more than the following:
- 5Mb Harddisk space
- 10-20Mb RAM (at its peak)
SCars is compatible on Windows XP, Vista and 7.
Note: SCars is yet to fully work on Windows 2000.
You can download the SCars Installer by using the Download button on the right of this page. Or using the following links
SCars (Main Location), SCars (Cnet – Download.com Mirror), SCars (247Fixes.com Mirror), SCars (Fileforum at Betanews.com Mirror)
Once downloaded, simply double-click the installer to launch it, then follow the on-screen prompts. If you are having trouble with the install process, you can receive assistance on the SCars Support Forum.
Does SCars support 64-bit systems?
SCars has been tested and is currently fully compatible with 64-bit systems.
What languages does SCars support?

Technical FAQ Answers:
Updater.exe keeps requesting administrative rights. What should I do?
If you are using Windows Vista or 7, then this is normal. Updater.exe needs administrative rights to update SCars files in the Program Files folder, and also to update SCars settings stored in the registry.
I keep being informed that SCars is trying to update but it fails, what can I do to resolve this?
First of all, make sure your Firewall isn’t blocking SCars from accessing the Internet. Next, make sure you are allowing updater.exe Administrative rights if you are using Vista/Win7. If you are still having problems, you can receive assistance from our support team by visiting the SCars Support Forum. When posting for assistance with an updater issue, please post update.log (if it exists), which can be found in your SCars installation folder (usually in your Program Files folder).
Will restoring the default reminders delete all my custom reminders?
No, this function only resets the ‘Built-in‘ reminders to their default settings. All of your custom reminders will be left alone. Remember you can also back-up all your Reminders using the ‘Export Reminders‘ button on the Settings tab.
I have my own program that I’d like SCars to start. Is this possible?
Yes, you can have any reminder launch any program of your choosing. Simply navigate to the reminder you wish to use (or click ‘New Reminder’), click the ‘Edit Command‘ button, then enter the full file path of the file you wish to run. Be sure to hit ‘Save Changes’ when you are done.
Other FAQ Answers:
SCars is completely free. In other words ‘Freeware‘. At this moment in time there is no Pro version or paid version. Should you have paid for SCars anywhere (other than a pre-paid download subscription site), please tell us.
I think I’ve found a bug, how can I submit it to the team?
If you think you’ve found a bug, or something not quite right with SCars, you can and should post about it in the support forum. This is currently the only way to submit them – SCars Support Forum.
How can I become an official beta tester for SCars?
To become a Beta Tester for SCars all you need to do is contact a member of the team for consideration. You can find those members on the forums. Look for the administrators or moderators to contact. By becoming a beta tester, you do not become a formal staff member. But you do get a private area for testing.
Applying to become a mirror for SCars is currently on hold. Please re-visit this soon for more details. We are developing a system to assist with this.
